DNA Diagnostics maintains a cutting edge research program geared to development of state of the art genetic tests and gene discovery. The most recent accomplishment is the development of the first universal genetic evaluation for animals. The VeriSNP™ method (patent pending) of genetic testing allows for a high throughput battery of tests for each animal to be accomplished simultaneously for multiple animals. All types of information is obtained in each evaluation including identity, parentage verification, disease status, desirable traits for breeding animals such as color, sex determination and in some cases breed identity. VeriSNP™ universal genetic evaluation is available for most domestic species with more domestic and wild species to be added in the near future.
